The research interests of the Bio-Inspired Robotics Lab lie at the
intersection of robotics and biology. Through abstraction of the design
principles of biological systems, we develop core competences which are
the design and control of dynamic mechatronics systems, bionic sensor
technologies, and computational optimization techniques. Our main goals
are to contribute to a deeper understanding of adaptivity and autonomy
of animals through the investigation of dynamic robots, and to engineer
novel robotic applications which are more adaptive, resilient, and
energy efficient.

These positions belong to a new government funded research project,
"Bio-Inspired Motor Control for Underactuated Robotic Systems", in which
we tackle with the problems of design optimization in underactuated
systems, control optimization of "dynamics programmability", and dynamic

Qualification/Experience:
• Engineering degree with a minimum of 10 - 20 years of experience in oil and gas environments or equivalent experience.

• The purpose of Corrosion Engineer role is to ensure all the COPI production facilities both offshore and onshore will perform without disruption/down time due to corrosion by setting-up the system management, implementing and coordinating all corrosion prevention, CP monitoring, chemical technology, and material/metallurgy engineering.
• He/She shall provide consultancies to engineering plant operation and maintenance to assure the corrosion rates of all the production facilities are within tolerable/design limits.

Qualification/Experience:
• The job requires a person with an engineering degree (S1) preferably in Chemical/Process, Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering with at least ten (10) years experience in corrosion engineering within the petroleum or petrochemical industry. Offshore and onshore experiences are required, as well as environmental (external) and process (internal) corrosion expertise. A strong knowledge of metallurgy, electrochemistry and chemicals application are also required. Basic understanding of HSE theory and application is necessary.

Responsibilities:
* Plan and carry out comprehensive inspections on fixed equipment/piping via on-stream risk-based monitoring programs and downtime inspection activities
* Advise the Lead Inspector and/or Inspection Manager

recommend appropriate actions to resolve corrosion issues and ensure
safe and reliable operation of the equipment
* Investigate

* Execute quality assurance to project/construction and
maintenance works to ensure compliance with the applicable industry
standards
* Maintain effective working relationships and
communication with the Business team to eliminate/minimize
materials/corrosion issues
* Constantly keep abreast of the latest
developments in inspection/materials and corrosion technology through
inter-affiliate technology transfers, network communications and
meetings
* Maintain an effective Inspection Data Management system
and a filing system for the area under your purview, and conduct
periodic reviews/updates
* Continuously update Piping and Fixed
Equipment Strategy for each business team/unit as leading indicators to
ensure the reliability of fixed equipment and pipingPerform Level 1 Fitness for Service engineering assessment and analyses

Requirements:
* A good Degree in Mechanical/Materials Engineering from a recognized University
* Minimum 5 years' relevant working experience in the petrochemical, or a similar industry, is preferred
* Strong analytical skills and good knowledge of analytical tools
* A highly motivated team player with effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Willing to work in a refinery/petrochemical plant environment
