Webmaster
Public Diplomacy remains as an essential part of the Embassy work and strategic communications are vital in a bid to achieve the objectives. In ensuring the key messages of the embassy are widely spread effectively the use of embassy website should be optimised and properly managed at all times. Currently the British Embassy is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Webmaster at the Media and Communications Department
Webmaster
Job Responsibilities/Description
* Manage the English and Indonesian versions of the embassy website developing content to a high standard
* Acting as a point of contact for all website inquiries
* Co-ordinate a regular flow of new content publicising the work of the embassy and the Foreign Commonwealth Office.
* Develop excellent working relationships with colleagues at all levels across the embassy who provide website content, with external partners and with HUB in Singapore who maintain the centralised content management system and templates
* Evaluate the success of web work, including setting key performance indicators, monitoring visitor statistics, feedback and participation
* Design and deliver web campaigns to achieve embassy objectives, including using interactive web spaces
* Contribute film and photos to the Foreign Commonwealth Office’s YouTube, Flickr channels, FCO Bank Image in co-ordination with PPA assistant
* Contribute to the successful delivery of embassy-wide public diplomacy projects and advise colleagues on the best use of online communications
* Responsible to translate website-related materials for the purpose of website content from English to Indonesian, vice versa, if necessary
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years work experience in IT business, web maintenance and web design industry.
- A bachelor degree majoring in Information Technology
- Excellent skills in translating documents (both languages – English and Indonesian)
- Excellent IT backgrounds
- Excellent understanding of website work
- Flexible and ability to deal with deadlines under minimum supervision
